The Initial Xbox Game Pass Titles of 2026 Demonstrate Xbox Remains Committed.
In numerous discussions, enthusiasts continue to ring the death bells for Microsoft's gaming division. The platform was lately surpassed in sales by a relatively obscure console. Xbox fan sites began covering regarding Sony's platform for the first time. The past year represented an era of significant turmoil for the tech giant's gaming arm. Yet, based exclusively on what's coming to Game Pass in 2026, it becomes clear that Microsoft still intends to engage players with strong games on its flagship service.
The Current Inclusions
A pair of titles that are immediately available at this moment, Brews & Bastards and Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition, are not the headliners. Rather, it's what is coming to Game Pass in the coming weeks that's truly noteworthy.
Significant Forthcoming Releases
Starting January 13th, the subscription service will add the underappreciated Star Wars Outlaws, an open-world game that refreshes typical Ubisoft design with a cosmic robbery tale. An additional significant inclusion is Resident Evil Village featuring the towering Lady Dimitrescu, which our 2021 review called "the perfect cocktail of terror and combat."
Compelling Indie Titles
But even the smaller games set to join the catalog deserve recognition. Lost In Random: The Eternal Die, a fantastic but under-the-radar dungeon crawler that's a blast to play, arrives January 7th — and it's worth experiencing whether or not you experienced the first Lost in Random game.
The game set in a ruined Britain from last year might get its hooks in you in about 15 minutes flat.
Atomfall, a survival title with stealth elements by the makers of Sniper Elite, also warrants your attention. Ultimate tier members also have Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition to anticipate.
A Well-Rounded Collection
All in all, these titles aren't industry-shaking releases to Game Pass, nor are they tentpole Microsoft studios games that justify the service in the first place. But Microsoft's additions here are rock solid. There's a good mixture of past releases that passed you by and fairly new titles that failed to receive the spotlight they warranted upon launch — which makes them excellent choices to get a second chance on Game Pass.
Hope you're ready to say goodbye to The Grinch Christmas Adventures, though.
