The Streaming Giant Selects Spot-On Performer for Bon Clay in One Piece Upcoming Installment
The Secret Organization is set to play a huge role in Netflix’s upcoming season of One Piece, even if the major clash isn’t set to occur until the next season, and a cherished, popular member has just been cast.
The platform declared recently that Cole Escola will appear in the One Piece season 3 cast and will portray Bon Clay. Bon Clay can use their power to change into an perfect replica of any person they’ve laid a hand on with their main hand. The performer, who is non-binary and prefers they/them pronouns, will depict a rendition of that figure reinterpreted as non-binary, rather than as a drag queen, in the live-action show, unlike the source material and animated series.
The new cast member is joined by a number of recently announced actors set to bring Baroque Works to reality, featuring leader Mr. 0, played by Joe Manganiello, a talented actress as another operative, and an accomplished actor, who also joins the lineup as the monarch of the fictional land.
Though this character is a key figure of Baroque Works, the character won’t appear until One Piece season 3. With the second season likely to portray the Little Garden arc, this represents a major departure in the schedule of the character’s debut, one that could indicate more adjustments to the narrative framework.
Escola’s blend of sharp comedic timing and profound feeling makes them a ideal selection for the role. Besides their latest vocal work in the youth-focused cartoon movie Boys Go to Jupiter, they earned widespread acclaim and several accolades for penning and acting in the successful stage production Oh Mary!, emphasizing the adaptability they’ll add to one of One Piece’s highly regarded roles.
