Two men have been charged following a luggage theft where a suspected pepper spray caused injuries at London's Heathrow Airport.

Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, now face two robbery charges and two counts of administering a noxious substance, according to official statements.

This legal action stems from an investigation into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 on the weekend. Earlier that day, two female travelers had their suitcases stolen after getting out of a car park lift, police said.

A young child was one of the people hurt in the event. A total of five individuals were taken to a medical facility and were eventually allowed to go home.

The incident – which authorities stated was isolated and not being treated as terrorism – caused disruptions to rail services and the temporary blocking of the main airport road tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a short time.
